Complete Genome Sequences of Four Brucella Strains Isolated from China
Brucella spp. are facultative intracellular pathogens that cause a contagious zoonotic disease. Twelve different species are currently identified. This study presents the complete genome sequences of four Brucella strains. These complete genomes were annotated and the contents compared to those of other strains isolated from China.
متن کاملWhole genome sequences of four Brucella strains.
Brucella melitensis and Brucella suis are intracellular pathogens of livestock and humans. Here we report four genome sequences, those of the virulent strain B. melitensis M28-12 and vaccine strains B. melitensis M5 and M111 and B. suis S2, which show different virulences and pathogenicities, which will help to design a more effective brucellosis vaccine.
متن کاملComplete Genome Sequences of Three Iberian Brucella suis Biovar 2 Strains Isolated from Wild Boars
Brucella suis biovar 2 is the most common biovar isolated from wild boars (Sus scrofa) associated with transmission to outdoor-reared pigs in Europe. We report here the complete and annotated genome sequences of three strains isolated from wild boars in Portugal and Spain and belonging to the Iberian clone (haplotypes 2d and 2e).
متن کاملGenome Sequences of Brucella abortus and Brucella suis Strains Isolated from Bovine in Zimbabwe
This is a report of whole-genome sequences of a Brucella abortus strain and two Brucella suis strains isolated from bovine in Zimbabwe. These strains were selected based on their origin and data obtained when using multiplex PCR assays, then sequenced using next-generation sequencing technologies.
متن کاملComplete Genome Sequences of Four Virulent Rabies Virus Strains Isolated from Rabid Animals in Russia
Rabies virus (RABV) strains Rus(Lipetsk)-8052f, Rus(Lipetsk)-8053c, Rus(Lipetsk)-8054f, and Rus(Lipetsk)-8057f were isolated from foxes (Vulpes vulpes) and a cat (Felis catus) in the Lipetsk region of Russia in 2011. Close relationships between these strains and the members of the "Cosmopolitan" group from Russia (98% homology) and from Europe (95% homology) were estimated.
